My God Is So Big

Welcome to the Blyde River Canyon. A 33km gorge, the 3rd largest canyon in the world at 4500 feet deep, with the second tallest tufa waterfall in the world. A tufa waterfall builds up rock instead of eroding due to its calcium content.  Crocodiles can be seen sliding through the reeds along the bank, baboons bending branches to see their riverboat visitors, a brave rock dassie perching on a rock while his fellows run for safety, Egyptian Geese spreading their wings to avoid our encroaching, countless Cormorants busily tending to their young, while the African Fish Eagle soars above, undeterred by our presence.

  1. Gorgeous photos, as usual, Dy! And to answer the question you left on my blog...YES, you may come nanny my children just to enjoy the pink nursery. :) We would all be delighted with that arrangement. :)
